At Abbey Hulton Primary School we have a true love of reading! 

 

We have a variety of reading incentives in place across our school. Every Wednesday our reading assembly takes place, led by Mrs Pearse. During the assembly Mrs Pearse shares the next chapter of our current whole school read and then we celebrate our children who have reached the next destination on their reading passport! 

 

 

 

 

 

In Key Stage 1 we have a weekly reading raffle. Children's diaries are checked daily and if they read at home their name will be entered into our weekly reading raffle where the lucky winner will receive a bed time story to take home and keep. 

Our Online Library

We have just launched our online library platform in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Children are rewarded for various milestones when reading online, please see below for more information.
