Design and Technology will be taught in Abbey Hulton Primary School using the objectives outlined in the National Curriculum and Early Learning Goals in EYFS through Kapow scheme of work. Each unit follows the Design, Make and Evaluate process. This subject encourages children to learn to think and intervene creatively to solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team. Children are taught to look for opportunities to be creative and to respond to them by developing a range of ideas and making a range of products. Children are also given opportunities to reflect upon and evaluate past and present design technology.
