“Abbey Hulton Primary School is part of the Seven Stars Network of Schools. We work in collaboration with St Mark’s CE (A) Primary, Etruscan Primary, Forest Park Primary, Carmountside Primary Academy, Werrington Primary and Thomas Boughey Nursery School.
Our Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and subject leaders meet regularly to share ideas and good practice. Our School Councils have been working together on various topics including anti-bullying and seeds of friendship.
A wellbeing day for all the children in Y6 is planned for March. Look out for more details here!”
Earlier this week Year 2 designed their own healthy sandwiches. They chose their own ingredients, making sure they had some kind of protein from dairy or meat and some fruit or vegetables to provide vitamins and minerals. The bread provided the carbohydrate for energy.
We had some interesting combinations alongside the more traditional...from cheese, ham and cucumber to banana and tuna!
The class worked well doing all their own chopping, peeling and grating.
In the afternoon parents were invited to the class to share in the eating of our sandwiches. The children enjoyed eating their own creations and sharing them with others.
After eating, the children shared stories with their parents and friends. It was so nice to see so many parents and other family members supporting us.
